Exploring: Delft
Delft is about an hour drive from Amsterdam and perfect for a half day excursion or a stop-through for a couple of hours. Delft is famous for its blue and white pottery and ceramics. Delft is an adorable and charming town with some fun things to do! Delft also has several tourist “slot machine” map and info guides throughout the town, so be sure to grab your free map and guide when you see one!
Things to See and Do:
Grote Markt - Fun, market square and the main square in Delft. The Stadhuis (city hall) is located at one end, and Niewe Kerk (church) is located at the other end. They may also have stalls set up with vendors selling
Stroll the Canals - Walk along the canals or take a guided boat tour for a history of the town.
Visit Cheese & More Delft by Henri Willig - Enjoy a fun cheese tasting where you can sample every type of cheese and buy your favorites. It’s a really cute shop, with cheese wheels in the windows and cow statues outside.
Delft Pottery de Delftse Pauw - There are many pottery and souvenir shops showcasing the famous Delft Blue and White Pottery, but this place has a guided tour and pottery painting demonstration alongside their showroom.
