Basilique du Sacre Coer sits atop Montmartre, a hill in the northern part of the city in the 18th Arrondissement. It is a Roman Catholic Church dedicated to the "Sacred Heart" of Jesus. It is a beautiful white church with amazing views, perfect for a 1-2 hour stop. With so much to see and do in Paris, and since it is a little far from downtown, it might be a good idea to add it to your itinerary if you have at least 3-4 days or if you are on a return trip to Paris. We stopped by on our way out of Paris, and it was absolutely lovely, with perfect sunlight, musicians playing, and of course, the gorgeous views overlooking the city!
Basilica Hours: Open Every Day 6:00 AM - 10:30 PM (Mass Times Different)
Activities: Visit Basilica, Pray, Attend Mass, Climb to Top of Basilica, Watch Sunset or Sunrise over city
