Baby Taj - Agra, India
The Tomb of I'Timad-ud-Daulah, affectionately called the "Baby Taj" by some, is located near the Taj Mahal within the old city of Agra in the region of Uttar Pradesh in India. Built in the 16020s with an Islamic style of architecture, it was the first Indian structure made entirely out of marble and was built 5 years before the Taj Mahal. It also boasts beautiful lattice screens, known as jali, which are prevalent among Indian, Indo-Islamic, and Islamic architecture. The mausoleum was not very crowded, and extremely beautiful, so it is definitely a great place to visit.
