Our tour company scheduled a henna session at our hotel in Udaipur, and it was awesome. At first, I was not sure I would get it because I had to go back to work after the trip and wasn't sure if it would be faded by then, but when in Rome, right? You're not going to not get henna when your in India! The girl that did the henna was incredibly talented and finished in about 45 minutes. She designed a peacock which is historically significant to the Udaipur region. I was astounded by how many people, both men and women, would come up to me on the street to ask about it or take a picture of it.
Things to Know: It can last for 3 weeks. Let it fade, don't try to use hydrogen peroxide or other chemicals to take it off. You should sleep with the henna to let it set before washing it off, so do it before bed. Use sunscreen or you might tan with the lines.
